Recommended Fees
The Association sets a recommended fee schedule for services provided by psychologists in the NWT, although all psychologists in the NWT may charge what they wish. Speak to your psychologist regarding their fees.
APNWT Recommended Fee Schedule

Based upon a 50 minute session:
Service Fee Per Session Individual Therapy/Assessment $235.00
Couple/Family Therapy/Assessment $235.00
Group Therapy (per person) $70.00
Custody/Access & Legal/Forensic Assessment $335.00
Expert Witness Testimony (half day minimum fee) $1,410.00
Expert Witness Testimony (full day minimum fee) $2,820.00
Consultation/Corporate Services (half day) $1,050.00
Consultation/Corporate Services (full day) $2,115.00
Report writing, telephone consultation, letters & form completion are all billed at the rate of the service being provided.
Billing can also occur in 10 minute increments for services done outside the therapy hour such as phone calls, letters, etc. Incremental billings are also appropriate for services provided beyond a 50 minute session.
Fees for specialized services may exceed the current recommended guidelines.
